Member Tour: Collections Storage

Learn the stories behind the objects with this exclusive peek behind the scenes! Executive director Chris Shires will lead a tour through the museum’s collections storage area, where more than 30,000 historic objects from throughout Holland’s history are held. Donated to the museum over the course of 80 years, these objects help us tell the story of where we came from–and where our community aspires to go next.

This is a free program exclusively for our valued members. Please RSVP to operations manager Paula Dunlap at 616-796-3321 or

Lest we forget…Holland’s Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients…
We are honored that Holland, Michigan is home to four Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients; one of only two cities in the country in which this is the case. The Medal of Honor is the most prestigious military decoration that can be awarded to a U.S. Military personnel who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor. Generally, the Medal of Honor is presented by the President of the United States, on behalf of Congress.
