Museum on the Move: Local Ladies

Explore the stories of the women who shaped the development of Holland in this exciting downtown walking tour. From early business owners, shopkeepers, women’s organizations, and philanthropists, these local ladies sure knew how to get things done!

This is an approximately one mile, casually paced walk that begins and ends at the Holland Museum. Tour capacity is limited to just 20 people, and advance registration is required by calling 616-796-3329.

This is free event. A $5.00 donation would be appreciated.

 

Holland Museum

The Holland Museum tells the story of Holland, Michigan, from its founding by Dutch immigrants to today’s innovative, successful, and diverse community. Featuring thousands of fascinating historic objects, the Permanent Galleries are not to be missed. Also on display are the Dutch Galleries, featuring artwork from the Netherlands from the 1600s through the 1900s.

The Holland Museum is located at the corner of 10th Street and River Avenue, across from Centennial Park. Hours of admission are:

Wednesday-Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday (mid-May-September only): 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Admission is $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors, and $4.00 for students. Members and children ages five and under are free.

Please use the parking lot behind the museum on 9th Street or street parking available along 10th Street. Handicap accessibility is available from the east side of building.
