- Cappon House
The historic Cappon House was the home of Holland’s first mayor and local tannery proprietor, Isaac Cappon. Built in 1874, it is now partially restored to its appearance in 1900. Visitors to the Cappon House step back in time, immersing themselves in the stories of Isaac Cappon and his large family.
$5.00 per person; Holland Museum members are free. Paid admission to the Cappon House gains access to the Settlers House as well.
Open seasonally from mid-May-September on Fridays and Saturdays only with guided tours offered every hour. The first tour of the day begins at 11:00 a.m. and the last at 4:00 p.m.
The Cappon House is handicapped accessible via the back door. Please let the receptionist know if you need to use this entrance and they will make sure you have access. This historic home is only handicapped accessible on the ground level, but there are photos of each room upstairs if you are unable to reach the second floor.
