Gable Front

The first recorded occupants of this house are James & Myrtle De Boe. According to the 1910 City Directory, James was a shipping clerk at Cappon Bertch Leather Co. It sits closer to the front of the lot, which is indicative that roads were more narrow in years past. This house is a Gable front - a simple house type that has gable (most basic triangle shaped roof.) This house was likely built in the 1880s and its likely the porch is an addition.
