Highlights from “Storied Objects: Folk Art from the Holland Museum Collection”

Winde Gehringer, Exhibits Coordinator and Michelle Stempien, Education and Community Programs Manager will discuss the stories and creativity behind the art featured in the Storied Objects exhibition, including a fantastic example of a crazy quilt circa 1904, earthenware figurines from Teodora Blanco Nunez, an artist from Oaxaca Mexico who blended traditional aspects of her culture with an imaginative twist, and a bee skep, made to look like Saint Ambrose, the Patron Saint of Beekeeping.
