Victorian Christmas and Dickens’ Christmas Carol Reading

Join us for the final program of our Cappon House 150th anniversary year! Enjoy traditional holiday decorations, learn about Victorian Christmas practices, and hear carols performed by the Holland Chorale’s Dickens Singers. ABOUT THE CAPPON HOUSE
The historic Cappon House was the home of Holland's first mayor and local tannery proprietor, Isaac Cappon. Built in 1874, it is now partially restored to its appearance in 1900. Visitors to the Cappon House step back in time, immersing themselves in the stories of Isaac Cappon and his large family.

CAPPON AND SETTLERS HOUSE TOURS
During the summer months, June 14 – August 17, the historic houses are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm-4 pm. Tours happen at 12:15 pm, 1:15 pm, 2:15 pm, and 3:15 pm and begin at the Cappon House Visitors Center. In the fall, winter, and spring, tours are available by appointment only. GROUP TOURS
Group Tours of 5 or more are available September through May, three to four weeks in advance, by appointment only.

ADMISSION
The cost includes tours of the Cappon House and the Settlers House.
Tours begin at the Cappon House Visitor Center.

$10.00 for adults
$8.00 for senior adult
$5.00 for students with a valid college ID and kids 6-18
FREE: Holland Museum members and children ages 5 and under are free.
$1.00 Museums for All admission (EBT or WIC card holder, $1.00/person, up to 4 people per card).

ACCESSIBILITY
The Cappon House is handicapped accessible via the back door. Please let the receptionist know if you need to use this entrance and they will make sure you have access. This historic home is only handicapped accessible on the ground level, but there are photos of each room upstairs if you are unable to reach the second floor.

PARKING
Street parking is available along 10th Street, Washington Avenue, and on the north side of 9th Street.
