Magical Rain Theaterworks Presents:
Viva el dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead Comes Alive!)
Dr. Vasquez will give a brief presentation on the Mexican holiday, El Dia de Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead), as it is celebrated both in Mexico and north of the border. Our presentation will include energetic performances of Latino stories, jests, and words of wisdom and wit. These stories will include:
The World’s Shortest Ghost Story: A Story told differently yet spookily in English and Spanish
How La Muerte (Death) became a Godfather: A humorous tale with an unusual message about fairness and equality
With the ancient tradition of El Dia de los Muertos, we truly honor one another in life as well as in death. When we speak out to our community, the names and memories we have, we also make everyone realize how important we all are to each other.
