Museum on the Move: Archaeology in Action  

Explore the history of VanRaalte Farm Park on this guided walking tour highlighting the legacy of the Van Raalte family. The tour includes a stop at an active archaeological dig site, where visitors can view recent discoveries, learn about the excavation process, and even take part in the dig! This tour takes place entirely outdoors, covering approximately 1 mile. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated along the way. For the comfort of all guests, we kindly ask that pets remain at home.

Rick Bosch, Ph.D. was born and raised in Holland. A Hope College and Northwestern University graduate, he spent 30 years in the chemical industry. Now retired, Rick volunteers for the Holland Museum as a researcher and a docent and for the Ottawa County Parks. He is also active in the efforts to clean up the Lake Macatawa watershed.
