Museum on the Move! VanRaalte Farm Walking Tour
Join local historian and environmental scientist Rick Bosch for a VanRaalte Farm walking tour!
Begin with a hike around the park’s 160 scenic acres while learning about its natural features and rich local history. To conclude the tour, Dr. Bosch guide guests to the site of the Van Raalte Farmhouse. Here, you will hear the story of Ben Van Raalte, son of Holland’s founder, and his family.
The tour takes place entirely outdoors and does not include access inside of the VanRaalte Farmhouse. Therefore, please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes!

Rick Bosch
Presenter Bio
Rick Bosch, Ph.D. was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. A Hope College and Northwestern University graduate, he spent 30 years in the chemical industry. Since he is now retired, Rick volunteers for the Holland Museum as a researcher and a docent and for the Ottawa County Parks. He is also active in the efforts to clean up the Lake Macatawa watershed.
