HOLLAND — Holland Museum will soon open its newest exhibit, “Newsflash! The Story of Journalism in Holland.”

The exhibit, which explores the history of The Holland Sentinel and WHTC, opens Nov. 17. It’ll focus on the evolution of journalism and the role it’s played in developing the city. Many of the objects on display come from the collection of local photographer and journalist Randy Vande Water. The exhibit runs until April 2024.

Maddalena Fissora, the museum’s exhibits coordinator, said “Newsflash” will highlight how journalism unified Holland in its earliest days and how it shapes the community as technology evolves.

“Through this exhibit, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of journalism and how it’s so much more than the news,” Fissora wrote in a release. “No matter its form, journalism remains a form of storytelling that brings us all together.”
