Cappon Carriage Barn

The Cappon carriage barn was probably built between 1873 and 1877. The floor was installed in 1877 from boards that had been previously used as a circus billboard in Holland. The building originally had drive through sliding doors, making it convenient to hitch and unhitch the horses. Today we use the barn as a visitors’ center and education space. Images of nearly all the family members can be seen on the wall.
