October 25th, you’ll get a rare once in a lifetime opportunity. A viewing opportunity of the Fishbowl will be available during the Dia de Los Muertos event from 5pm to 12am only. This collection of artifacts and collectables is rarely open to the public. It has everything from figurines, statues, flags, to one of a kind watches and jewelry. Here is a sneak peek of what you could see October 25th.

Michigan State Spartans Football from 2005 with signatures from the players and coaches. It belonged to Phil Kimberley (1940-2011). Phill was the son of Walter and Helen Kimberley from Holland Michigan. He was a member of the Third Reformed Church in Holland and attended Hope Church later on. His career was in the wholesale clothing and retail industry. During his retirement he enjoyed collecting coins and served as a docent to the Holland Museum and Cappon House.

Here is a rare porcelain figurine of Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse as a conductor. This belonged to Mary W. “Willie Haberland. She taught in the Holland Public School district from 1938 to 1974 starting at VanRaalte School before she went to Washington school. She donated various other Disney figurines like Dumbo the Elephant, Snow White, Goofy, and Tinkerbell.

If you drop by you could also see this Barbie Family house from the 1960’s. It opens to reveal different rooms inside the house. It was donated to the Holland Museum in 2023 and was owned by Mary Graham Elhart who was a Holland resident. She played with it in the 1960’s. Stop on by from 5pm to 12am to see these exceptional artifacts.
