Mark your calendars for October 25th, the Holland Museum is proud to be partnering with Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP) to celebrate the Day of the Dead. The day will be jam-packed with various activities from a community event, a sip and paint, and even a big dance to conclude the night. All proceeds will be split between the Holland Museum and LAUP.

To kick start the day will be the Day of the Dead: Family Event from 12:30-3:30pm at the Holland Armory. The event is free for all. Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with LAUP and the Holland Museum with music, dance performances, art, and face painting during this fun family event.

Get your paint brushes ready because from 5-7pm the Sip and Paint will take place in the Holland Armory. It is $30 per person, and preregistration is required. Celebrate the Day of the Dead with Ellie Jimenez who is a local artist. Supplies, snacks, and drink ticket will be included.

Get your dancing shoes on, because the Day of the Dead: Dance party is next! This will run from 8pm-12am in the Holland Armory. It is $25 per person in advance, and $30 at the door. Pre-Registration is encouraged. Get ready for a memorable night with music from DJ Habana, a cash bar, and an incredibly tasty food truck serving street tacos, al pastor, and carne asada fries. It is open to ages 16+.

Don’t forget to check out the Fishbowl in the Holland Armory. It will be open during the Sip and Paint and Dance. You’ll get a rare opportunity to see artifacts that are not open to the public including Walt Disney figurines, a statue of Abraham Lincoln, and a city of Holland Quasquicentennial flag.
