Maranda: Sparking STEAM in Holland

Maranda visited the Holland Museum Spark!Lab!

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) – If you’re looking for a great Spring Break activity that keeps kids learning, check out The Smithsonian Institution’s Spark!Lab at the Holland Museum. Spark!Lab is a hands-on invention space that will allow kids and their parents to create, collaborate, explore, test, experiment, problem solve, and invent. The activities incorporate science, technology, engineering, art, history, and math (STEAM) to help kids develop skills through the invention process.

Holland’s history is full of innovators, entrepreneurs, and inventors, so Spark!Lab is an ideal fit for the Holland Museum. It helps to it showcase the area’s history of innovation and invention.

The original Spark!Lab opened at the National Museum of American History in November 2008, and was one of its most popular attractions and now is an equally popular traveling exhibition.
