HOLLAND — A new exhibit is opening at Holland Museum for this year’s Tulip Time Festival.

“Cultivating Dutch Tradition: Jane Jones’ Hyperrealist Floral Paintings” opens May 5 at Holland Museum, according to a news release. The exhibit runs through July 3 and is sponsored by Jim and Donna Brooks.

The exhibit features 25 contemporary oil paintings. Jane Jones is an American artist who “works in the context of Dutch still life,” according to the release. Jones is a native of Denver, Colorado, living near the foot of the Rocky Mountains, and has earned degrees in biology and art history.

Jones’ paintings have won numerous national awards. She exhibits her work in museums and galleries across the country. Jones is the author of “Classic Still Painting Life” and is represented by galleries in Denver, New York, Santa Fe and Scottsdale.

“We feel so fortunate to have this stunning exhibition at the museum just in time for Tulip Time,” Holland Museum Executive Director Ricki Levine wrote in a statement.
