Ottawa News Network covered Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands’ March 17 visit to the Holland Museum as part of a West Michigan visit focused on cultural ties and shared history.
During her time at the museum, Princess Laurentien met Holland Public Schools students, toured the galleries, viewed the America 250 installation Renouncing Tyranny: The Dutch Act of Abjuration and the American Declaration of Independence, and spoke about migration, resilience, roots, and the importance of building bridges between communities.
The visit underscored the museum’s longstanding relationship with the Netherlands while connecting that history to broader stories of migration and belonging.
