Latin Americans United For Progress

Latin Americans United For Progress (LAUP) empowers Latinos to participate in creating a better community for all through advocacy, celebration & education. Some programs and resources provided by this organization include:
- ESL Program (English Second Language)- LAUP partners with Zeeland/Holland Adult Education to offer six levels of English instruction with daytime and evening course options. Occasional specialized courses train students in vocabulary for specific forms of work.
- GED Program- LAUP offers a GED exam preparation program in Spanish and partners with Zeeland/Holland Adult Education to offer an exam preparation program in English.
- Digital Literacy/Computer Training- These classes provide English and Spanish speakers who already possess basic computer literacy the opportunity to expand their knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google software.
- Citizenship Program- This ten-week program prepares participants to apply for citizenship and pass the citizenship exam. The course also includes a Citizenship Application Workshop with an attorney.

The Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance works to dismantle barriers to ensure people of all ethnic backgrounds have equal access and opportunity to participate fully in the life of their community. Some programs and resources provided by this organization include:
- The Summit on Race and Inclusion- a day-long conference held each spring in West Michigan where participants learn how racial biases affect communities economically and socially and learn tools to make a positive difference in their community.
